Was hat eine Zucht von Rassehunden mit Tierschutz zu tun?

Warum noch Hunde züchten, wenn doch so viele Hund im Tierheim hocken und auf ihre Rettung warten.

Nun, diese Frage habe ich mir heute gestellt und mir Gedanken gemacht. Warum gibt es Hunde im Tierheim? Es gibt solche arme Seelen, welche durch Scheidung oder durch den Tot von seinem Besitzer in diese Lage geraten sind. Diese Tiere sind aber in der Regel gut vermittelbar, da sie meist nicht über grosse Macken verfügen.

Dann gibt es die Tiere, welche wegen problematischem Verhalten im Tierheim landen, sie haben gebissen, sie horchen nicht, machen alles kaputt oder verdrecken alles… und und und…. desweiteren sind natürlich diese Hunde im Tierheim, welche missbraucht, misshandelt oder vernachlässigt wurden und vom Tierschutzverein dann entzogen wurden. Dies sind wirklich arme Seelen und es bleibt zu hoffen, dass sie alle auch Familien oder Menschen finden, die ein geduldiges Händchen haben und die Lebensumstände bieten können, damit sich diese Tiere wieder wohl fühlen können.

Nun, was hat das alles mit uns Züchtern zu tun?

Ich will es euch erklären.

Wenn ich als Züchter darauf achte, dass die ausgewählten Zuchttiere schon freundlich, angenehme und gesunde Hunde sind, ohne grössere Ängste und vor allem aggressionslos, dann habe ich die Chance, dass dies auch den Welpen weiter vererbt wird.
Wenn ich als Züchter meiner Hündin Schutz und Sicherheit biete, sowie die Gelegenheit, dass die Hündin in Ruhe und Geborgenheit sich um ihren Nachwuchs kümmern kann, dann wird das stresslos passieren und die Welpen bekommen in den ersten Wochen, während der vegetativen Phase, die volle Aufmerksamkeit ihrer Mama.
Wenn ich als Züchter ab der 3. Woche die nun wichtige Prägungsphase ernst nehme und meine Welpen auf viele Gegebenheiten hin präge und hinführe, dann setze ich die Weichen für einen Hund, der stresslos durch die Welt gehen kann und für den nichts Neues auch gleichbedeutend ist mit einem Weltuntergang.
Wenn ich als Züchter dafür sorge, dass alles Erlebte auch beim Schlafen verarbeitet werden kann und meinen Welpen genug Ruhezeiten ermögliche, dann lernt der Hund, dass er sich seine Ruhephasen gönnen muss und so immer, auch wenn es mal stressig war, wieder runterfahren kann.
Wenn ich als Züchter meine Welpen optimal ernähre, sie entwurme und auch impfe, dann sorge ich für einen gesunden Start ins neue Leben.
Wenn ich als Züchter mehrmals mit dem ganzen Wurf Auto gefahren bin, dann helfe ich dem einzelnen Welpen, dass seine erste Fahrt ganz alleine ohne Erbrechen und grosse Angst abläuft.
Wenn ich als Züchter meine Welpen in Hände gebe, welche ich nach mehreren Besuchen als geeignet empfinde, dann wird das auch in der Familie ziemlich sicher so sein.
Wenn ich als Züchter meine Welpen nur mit einem Vertrag abgebe und dem ernstzunehmenden Versprechen mich auch in Jahren noch dafür zu interessieren, was mit meinem Welpen passiert, dann wird selbst bei einer Änderung der Lebensumstände keiner meiner Hunde im Tierheim landen müssen.
Wenn ich als Züchter meinen Welpenkäufern mit Rat und Tat zur Verfügung stehen, dann überwinden wir auch Probleme gemeinsam.

Nun, wenn ich all die Punkte ansehe, dann komme ich zum Schluss, dass eine verantwortungsvolle Zucht Tierschutz bedeutet.

Why still breed dogs, when so many dogs are sitting in the shelter and waiting for their rescue.

Well, I asked myself this question today and worried. Why are there dogs in the shelter? There are such poor souls who have gotten into this situation by divorce or death from their owner. These animals are usually well mediated, as they usually do not have big quirks.

Then there are the animals that end up in the shelter because of problematic behavior, they have bitten, they do not listen, they break everything or they put everything away ... and and and .... Furthermore, of course, these dogs in the shelter, which were abused, maltreated or neglected and then deprived of animal welfare association. These are really poor souls and it is to be hoped that they all find families or people who have a patient knack and can provide the living conditions so that these animals can feel well again.

Well, what does all this have to do with us breeders?

• If, as a breeder, I make sure that the selected breeding animals are already friendly, pleasant and healthy dogs, without major fears and above all without aggression, then I have the chance that this will also be passed on to the puppy.

• If I offer protection and safety as a breeder of my bitch, and the opportunity that the bitch can take care of her offspring in peace and security, then that will happen without hassle and the puppies will get in the first weeks, during the vegetative phase, the full attention of her mom.

• If, as a breeder from the 3rd week, I take the important impres- sion phase seriously and shape and lead my puppies to many circumstances, then I set the course for a dog who can go through the world without stress and for whom nothing new is synonymous is with an end of the world.

• If, as a breeder, I make sure that everything I experience can be processed while sleeping and my puppy is able to have enough rest, the dog learns that he has to take his rest periods and can always go down even when things are stressful ,

• If, as a breeder, I feed my puppies optimally, deworm them and also vaccinate them, then I will ensure a healthy start into the new life.

• If, as a breeder, I drove several times with the whole litter of the car, then I help the individual puppy, that his first ride is all alone without vomiting and big fear.

• If, as a breeder, I give my puppies into my hands, which I find suitable after several visits, then this will certainly be the case in the family as well.

• If, as a breeder, I only give birth to my puppy with a contract and the serious promise to be interested in what happens to my puppy in years, even if the circumstances change, none of my dogs will have to end up in the shelter.

• If, as a breeder, I am available to my puppy buyers with help and advice, then we can also overcome problems together.

Well, if I look at all the points, then I come to the conclusion that responsible breeding means animal welfare.
